Dusky pink, Folksy and Vintage Wedding in London Town
Mat and Jennifer’s wedding in London has stolen my hearts.
The bridesmaids wore floral prints to match the first look between the couple in Hamstead’s leafy streets. The venue they chose was a Victorian red brick building with wide staircases and DIY dusky pink decor. The whole thing is just stunning.
Lee Robbins of Robbins Photographic captured their special day through his atmospheric, rich photography. Lee’s photographs show how beautiful a ‘first-look’ photo can be.
Jennifer has written a lovely article about their wedding.
We had a great day. It was romantic, emotional and fun. We were hired as wedding planners and couldn’t resist adding a personal touch to the day. The planning of the party grew from ‘how hard can it be?’ to a labour of love. It was great to think about our vision and put it in place. Our very special family and friends did a fantastic job with the table settings, truffles and wedding cake.I wore an off-white, long strapless dress that was fitted but had lace and layers of chiffon that floated a bit. I was unsure of what to wear, and struggled with the choice between cutesy romantic or simple and sophisticated. Two weeks before my wedding, I still had not figured it out. It was a late entry and it turned out to be all of these things. Plus, it was super comfy. I loved it! Mat looked handsome in a grey/brown suit, while the bridesmaids looked stunning in dusky pink tea dresses with black floral patterns. They carried Amnesia Roses, which Mat brought me once and coincidentally matched perfectly with their dresses. I had some beautiful and simple Cezanne Roses. Flowers were also available for the boys.
